Ceddie — Privacy Policy
Version: 1.1 Effective date: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Ceddie LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“Ceddie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Ceddie application, the website at sleeps.ceddie.app, and related services (the “Service”).
Ceddie is a tool for parents and caregivers to track an infant’s sleep. The adult account holder is our user. We are based in the United States and the Service is intended for use in the United States.
1. A Note on Children’s Information
Ceddie is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or use the Service.
The Service does, however, let a parent or guardian record information about their own child — such as the child’s first name or nickname, birth date or age, and sleep activity. This information is provided by the adult account holder, not collected from a child. We treat this information carefully, use it to provide the Service to your family (and, once de-identified, to improve the Service), never sell it, and never use it for advertising. We retain information that identifies your child only as long as needed to operate the Service, and delete it on request (see Sections 7 and 8).
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
- Account information — your email address and any name you choose to provide, used to create and secure your account.
- Child profile information — information you enter about your child, such as a first name or nickname, birth date or age, and similar details needed to generate relevant schedules.
- Sleep data — the naps, night sleep, wake times, and related entries you log.
- Communications — messages you send us (for example, support or feedback emails).
Information collected automatically:
- Basic technical and usage data — such as device/browser type, app interactions, error logs, crash reports, and basic performance diagnostics, used to operate, secure, and improve the Service. Some of this is processed by our crash-reporting provider (see Section 5). We keep this minimal and never use it for advertising.
We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric data, government identifiers, or financial account numbers.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the Service — store your logs and generate sleep schedules and insights;
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- Respond to your requests and communicate about the Service;
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve, develop, and train the features and models that power the Service (using de-identified data for development and training — see Section 7); and
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to serve you ads.
4. AI Processing (Google Gemini)
To generate sleep schedules and insights, the Service sends the relevant data — including your child’s first name or nickname, age or birth date, and sleep entries — to Google’s Gemini API, which processes it and returns the generated schedule or insight. This is what powers the core feature of the Service.
We use Google’s paid Gemini API. Under Google’s Gemini API terms for paid services, Google does not use the prompts or responses we send to train or improve its models. Google logs this data for a limited period solely to detect abuse and to comply with law, and we do not authorize Google to use it for any other purpose. Google’s handling of data sent to its API is also governed by Google’s own terms.
We do not send your data to any other AI provider.
5. Service Providers (Sub-Processors)
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the Service. They process data only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, and storage | United States (East) |
| Netlify | Website and application hosting | United States |
| Resend | Sending transactional and account emails | United States |
| Google (Gemini API) | Generating sleep schedules and insights | United States |
| Sentry | Crash and error reporting, and performance diagnostics | United States |
We require each provider by contract to protect your information consistent with this Policy and to use it only to provide their service to us.
6. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored and processed in the United States. The Service is intended for U.S. users. It is not directed to residents of the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, and we do not offer it to them. If you choose to access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States under this Policy and U.S. law.
7. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information that identifies you or your child for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, or ask us to delete your information, we delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
We may, however, retain and use de-identified sleep data — stripped of information that identifies you or your child — indefinitely, to analyze sleep patterns and to improve, develop, and train the features and models that power the Service. Because this data can no longer reasonably be linked to you or your child, deleting your account does not require us to delete data that has already been de-identified.
8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You can:
- Access the information in your account;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your account and associated data;
- Export a copy of your data; and
- Withdraw consent to our processing where it is based on your consent (withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out).
To make a request, email privacy@ceddie.app. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
California residents: California law gives you rights to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to correct it, and prohibits us from selling or sharing your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — which we do not do. You can exercise these rights using the same contact above.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and row-level security in our database, encrypted connections, and limited internal access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your and your child’s information and will notify you of a breach where required by law.
10. Cookies and Tracking
The Service uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you logged in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice) and update the “Effective date” above.
