FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does Ceddie do?
Ceddie logs your baby's naps and night sleep, then builds a schedule for the rest of the day — upcoming naps, their wind-down times, and bedtime. The more you log, the better the schedule fits your baby.
How does the schedule work?
Ceddie looks at the sleep you've logged today, your baby's recent patterns, and what's appropriate for their age, and reasons out a suggested plan for the rest of the day. It's a judgment call, not a guarantee — think of it as an informed suggestion you adjust to your baby.
Does Ceddie use AI?
Yes. Ceddie uses AI for the reasoning behind your schedule — weighing your baby's logged sleep, the time of day, and what's coming next to suggest a sensible plan. The trivial timing math (converting times, summing minutes) is handled by plain calculation so it's consistent every time. The judgment calls — the kind a thoughtful parent or sleep consultant would make — are where the AI works. Either way, every schedule stays within safe, age-appropriate ranges grounded in published sleep research.
Why did my schedule change?
The schedule updates whenever you log or edit a sleep event. A nap that runs long or short shifts everything after it, so Ceddie re-reasons the schedule each time something changes. If you don't see an update, nothing relevant has changed yet.
Why should I add notes?
Ceddie builds the schedule from sleep times, but times don't tell the whole story. If your baby is sick, teething, traveling, or had an unusually busy day, a quick note gives Ceddie the context to take your real life into account when planning the rest of the day. The more Ceddie knows about what's going on, the better the schedule fits.
How does the Insights view work?
The schedule is about today. Insights is about the bigger picture. Ceddie looks at your baby's sleep history and surfaces patterns: how naps and night sleep are trending, what's shifting as your baby grows, and what that means for their rest. The more days you log, the more Insights has to work with.
How do I log or fix a sleep?
Use the + button in the middle of the bottom bar to start a timer or log a past sleep. To fix a mistake, tap any sleep card to expand it, then use the edit icon to update or delete it.
Does Ceddie sync between devices?
Yes. Everyone in your household sees the same data in real time, so you and a partner can both log sleep and check the schedule from any device.
What age range does Ceddie support?
Ceddie is built for babies 3 to 18 months old — the age range where wake-window-based scheduling makes the most difference. Younger newborns sleep on patterns Ceddie isn't designed to predict; older toddlers usually need a different approach than wake windows.
Do I have to log every sleep?
No, but the more you log, the more useful Ceddie becomes. Missing the occasional nap won't break anything — Ceddie will work from what it has. Skipping most of a day will leave the schedule with less to go on.
What if I forget to log a nap?
You can log a sleep that already happened from the + menu. The schedule will recalculate around it just like any other entry.
Is my data private?
Your baby's sleep data is stored securely and is only visible to your household. Ceddie doesn't sell data, and we don't share it with third parties for marketing. See the full privacy policy for details.
Is Ceddie available on iOS and Android?
Ceddie runs as a web app at sleeps.ceddie.app — great on a computer or an Android phone — and there's an iPhone and iPad beta you can join through TestFlight. Native App Store releases will follow.
How do I send feedback or report a bug?
We read every message. You can report a bug or request a feature through our contact form, or email us at ceddie@ceddie.app. Bugs, confusing moments, features you wish existed — it all directly shapes what we work on next.
